Refund Policy

14 days. Full refund. No questions asked. If Write On isn't working for you within 14 days of your first paid charge, email us and we'll return your money.

How it works

After the 14-day window

If you cancel a monthly subscription after the 14-day window, the cancellation takes effect at the end of the current month — no further charges, but no prorated refund for the unused portion of that month.

For annual subscriptions cancelled after the 14-day window, you keep access for the remainder of the year you paid for, after which the subscription does not renew. We do not prorate refunds for partial years.

Exceptional cases

If something is genuinely broken — the app stops working after an OS update we haven't fixed, transcriptions stop working for an extended period — email us and we'll work it out, even outside the 14-day window. We're not trying to keep money from people we're not serving.

How to cancel without a refund

You can cancel anytime from your account dashboard → Manage Subscription. This stops future billing immediately. You keep access until the end of the period you've already paid for.

Chargebacks

Please email support@write-on.app before filing a chargeback with your bank. Chargebacks cost both of us money (Stripe charges us a $15 dispute fee that we'd rather spend on the product) and we'd much rather just refund you directly. If we can't resolve your issue, of course you have the right to dispute the charge.
